Covid Policy

Due to the prolonged close quarters of massage therapy and immune vulnerabilities in both my client population and family, I will continue adhering to the following COVID protocols for appointments, regardless of changing CDC guidance. 

  • I will wear a KN95 level mask at all times when interacting with clients.
  • Masking for clients is now optional. I have masks available if you choose to mask during your session. 
  • I will run at least 1 HEPA air filter continuously throughout sessions.
  • I will send email confirmation with screening questions to clients 24-48 hours prior to appointment. Clients are asked to reply to confirm the appointment and Covid-negative status. The screening questions are as follows: 

  

  • You have had no known exposure to a COVID positive individual in the past 10 days.
  • You have not experienced any cold, flu, or COVID-like symptoms in the past 5 days, unless the symptoms have subsided and you had a negative PCR or LAMP test within the past day, or two negative antigen tests 36-48 hours apart, within the past 48 hours.
  • If you have recently tested positive for COVID, it has been at least 10 days since diagnosis and you have had at least 2 consecutive negative antigen tests 36-48 hours apart, within the past 48 hours. 
  • I ask that if you are in any way ill you reschedule your appointment.
  • For clients who need extra precaution, I am happy to schedule your appointment first in the day or allow extra time for air exchange between you and my previous client. I am also happy to take a surveillance Covid test on the day of your appointment. 

Hours, Rates and Location

My office is located at 14 Park Place, conveniently near downtown Brattleboro with easy free parking. Generally speaking, I schedule appointments Tuesday through Friday with varying daytime hours. Please contact me for specific availability. 


All sessions are 75 minutes and the fee is $115. I reserve one financial assistance spot per week at a discounted rate of $75. Please inquire if you are in need of financial assistance. 


I accept cash or personal check only.

Payment and Cancellations

I currently accept cash or check only. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Missed appointments with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. If an appointment is missed due to illness or emergency, no cancellation fee will be applied. 

How to Schedule

The best way to reach me is by email to rachelleackermanmassage@gmail.com. Send me a message including your contact information and what sort of work you are seeking (a particular injury or problem, general well-being, etc.). I will get back to you with my available times to schedule.

After we've got a time set, I will email you directions to the office, policies, procedures, required public disclosure statements, and health intake form. You may fill this out in advance, or allow time at your first appointment. 1-2 days prior to your appointment time, I will email a confirmation and Covid screening questions.

If you do not have access to email, I will call with appointment confirmation and screening questions.
